FAQs
-
Yes, Italy is generally safe, even for solo travelers—whether male or female. As in any major city, exercise common sense: keep valuables tucked away securely, avoid flaunting expensive items, and be cautious in crowded areas. When using taxis, only use registered drivers or trusted taxi apps. At the airport, go directly to the designated taxi line—never accept unsolicited rides from random individuals inside the terminal. Stick to these guidelines, and you'll be fine.
-
Because the tour is limited to a small group, all sales are final and cancellations are non-refundable. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover your flights and accommodations in case you need to cancel. Once booked, your spot is locked in.
-
Yes, foreigners can get mortgages in Italy, but you should expect to put down a sizable deposit—typically 20% to 50%. The process involves more scrutiny of your financials, since you'll be submitting international records. For many, it's more feasible to refinance or raise funds in the U.S. We’ll be sharing more resources and lender contacts during the tour so you can explore your options.
-
No, simply buying a home does not qualify you for residency or citizenship. However, Italy does have investment residency programs—often referred to as "Golden Visas"—that offer a pathway for qualifying investors. These programs change over time.
-
There aren’t hidden fees, but there are standard costs associated with purchasing. These include notary fees (similar to title agents), recording fees, legal/attorney fees, and optional inspection fees. If you’re buying a low-cost home, expect around $4,000–$6,000 in additional fees for your first purchase. Higher-priced or multiple-property purchases will carry proportionally higher costs. We break this down further in the seminar.
-
Yes, occasionally. We take on partners for select group projects, typically one per year. If you’re seriously interested in joint ventures, we’ll share more details during the tour and through our channel. We’ll also review past group investments and walk through current target properties on this trip.
